A Lifetime Cruise – Hawaiian Cruise - An Exotic Hawaiian Cruise Trip

Hawaiian Cruises are everyone's dream cruise to the Hawaiian Islands on an exquisite ocean liner. Being pampered from dawn to dusk with exemplary cuisine, entertainment and fun for all that too for a moderate sum on a Hawaiian Cruise is definitely something out of the world. An increasing number of cruisers and liners are now regularly calling on the Hawaiian ports as also at the neighboring islands of Kaua'i, Maui, Kona and Hilo. Hawaiian Islands, a cluster of 137, provide adventure – sports, relaxation and a new insight to oneself. The islands make one wonder whether you are at land or at sea.

Hawaiian Cruises transport you to a heavenly state. Because of the tropical latitude, the weather remains the same through most of the year. The eastern side has more rainfall while the western part is the dry land. Locals enjoy skiing and snowboard in the snow-covered areas of the Big Island. The Hawaiian culture is very diverse and almost every nation's culture is found here.

Hence, any newcomer is automatically drawn into the Hawaiian culture, which is enjoyment and adventure. Honolulu is the capital city. It is believed that the first permanent inhabitants of this island had sailed in from the islands of Marquesas in the southern hemisphere between 300 and 800 A.D.Hawaiian Cruises along the different yet distinct islands provide an insight into the uniqueness of each island. Hawaii Island is a big one with Kilauea crater, said to be the home of the fire Goddess, Pele. Maui, once the sole property of the royals, is famous for its exquisite swimming spots.

The rainbows across the cliffs and waterfalls of Honolulu are nature's splendor. In spite of the diversity the common thing of these islands is ‘aloha', the spirit of welcoming. World know Hawaiian people for their hospitality and friendliness. They can mingle easily and in no time have others dancing to their music and enjoying themselves thoroughly with their cuisine. The Hawaiian Cruise enables the visitors to participate in the Hawaiian culture.

The vacationing people get unlimited happiness aboard the floating cruise liners and fabulous treatment for little fare. U.S and Canadian citizens need both proofs of citizenship and identity to board Hawaiian Cruise. Proof of identity could be driving license, Government's identification card and in case of children between ages 6 to 17, a school identity card is good enough. In addition to these, a valid passport to sail is also necessary. Permanent residents of the United States need to have on them their Alien Resident Card (ARC).

In cases of children traveling without their parents, the legal guardian with them should possess the parent's consent letter authorizing the minor to travel with the guardian, which is also important in case of emergency of any kind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Looking for information about cruises? ruise Network.com Offers Special Gift To Bermuda Bound Royal Caribbean Cruise Passengers

The Voyager of the Seas, one of the largest cruise ships at sea today, was scheduled to depart Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ on Sunday July 24 for a 5-night Bermuda Cruise. Royal Caribbean Cruise Line was forced to alter the route of the Voyager at the last minute due to the pending threat of severe weather from tropical storm Franklin, which had been churning just off the southwestern coast of Bermuda for several days. Royal Caribbean says that it had no choice but to modify the Voyager's itinerary to ensure the safety of the more than 4,000 cruise passengers and crew that would be aboard the ship. The problem was, most passengers did not find out about the revised itinerary until they showed up at the pier in New Jersey on Sunday afternoon. Some passengers were so angry they refused to even board the ship, others reluctantly accepted the alternate canada cruise itinerary, and everyone was demanding answers from the powers that be at Royal Caribbean.

Michael Sheehan, a spokesman for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, released a statement stating that "Simple common sense dictates that you cannot sail a ship with over 3,000 guests into a known tropical storm, which may become a hurricane." Sheehan also went on the say that Royal Caribbean is not obligated to and most likely won't reimburse passengers any of their cruise fare.As a result of this unfortunate occurrence, Cruise Network.com, a leading national provider of cruise vacations aboard some of the most magnificent cruise ships at sea today, has decided to offer a very special gift to all those Royal Caribbean passengers that were scheduled to be aboard the July 24 Voyager of the Seas Bermuda sailing. Cruise Network has already sent all of their own clients that were aboard the Voyager a complimentary gift containing a generous contribution towards their next cruise vacation aboard any major cruise line. In addition, Cruise Network would also like to invite ALL other passengers who booked their cruise directly through Royal Caribbean, and were also unfortunate enough not to be able to make it to Bermuda, to contact a Cruise Network customer service representative immediately at 888-267-1232. Upon verification, these passengers will also receive a very special gift from Cruise Network. "Cruise Network understands that events such as this are completely unpredictable," said Cruise Network agency manager John Tulipano.

"We also understand that Royal Caribbean was simply looking out for the safety of its passengers and crew, yet we don't want a bad experience such as this to discourage people from cruising in general. A cruise vacation is one of the most spectacular vacation options available in the travel industry today, so we are offering these gifts not only as a way of saying thanks to our loyal clients, but to also encourage all those considering a cruise vacation to get out there and experience everything that cruising today has to offer!" Cruise Network customer service representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 888-267-1232. Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas has been a regular visitor to Bermuda throughout this summer, and will resume its island itineraries from New Jersey on August 7.About Cruise Network:Cruise Network is one of the fastest growing networks in the cruise industry, specializing in providing Royal Caribbean Cruise Vacations, as well as other cruise lines, cruise destinations, cruise reviews, and home-based business opportunities. Tall Tales About Cruising

Kirsten Hawkins,

Sshhh! Don't tell anyone but there are a lot of stories"floating" around about cruising. Many people are going tobelieve these stories until they take their first cruise. Whenthese tall tales are put to the test, a lot of misconceptionswill fall like a line of dominoes, one by one.

Tall tale #1 - Only senior citizens vacation on a cruise ship. This is so not true! Ok, perhaps years ago, but cruising hasbeen gaining a following for years with the new yuppiegeneration as well as the seniors, those people ages 55 and up.Because people are living longer and longer, age 55 is notlonger perceived as old. Rather, people in their early 50'sthrough early 60's are now the new "middle" agers.

Tall tale #2 - I'll spend all my time in the bathroom due toseasickness. Being green around the gills is cause for concernand it does occasionally happen. However, cruise ships thesedays are modern technological marvels. Stabilizing technologyhelps prevent the side to side and up and down motions alsoknown as rolling and pitching.

The best offense is often the best defense. By being preparedfor the possibility of seasickness, you can fend it off with afew easy and cheap solutions. Dramamine is probably the mostwidely known seasickness treatment. It is a nonprescriptionmedication that should be taken a few hours before your cruise. However, some people seek alternatives because there are sideeffects such as tiredness, cotton mouth, and being wired to thepoint of not sleeping.

Other seasickness remedies are those Sea-bands. These arebracelets you wear on your wrist and it uses an acupressuretechnique. There is a little button on the inside of thebracelet that pushes against certain pressure points in yourwrist. This is another nonprescription option. Your doctor canalso prescribe a patch you wear behind your ear that will sendout a timed-release of medications to help with your symptoms.

Tall tale #3 - The only activities are shuffleboard and bingoaboard a cruise ship. Well, those activities are available, butthere is so much more. Exercise classes, dancing, lounge acts, skeet shooting, and wine classes are just a few of numerousthings you can find on board the ship. How about a crafting orart class? Perhaps a trip to the spa for a comforting massageand facial is more your speed. Maybe you want to relax aroundthe pool with a good book or participate in a card tournament.Of course, you also have the shore excursions to look forward towhen the ship goes to port.

Tall tale #4 - Everyone just eats and eats and eats. With allthe activities on the cruise ship, who has time to eat? Ofcourse, the food is plentiful but so are the menus. You canchoose to dine on lighter fare and keep an eye on your calorieintake. Or you can order up a pizza with the works.

Doj Ruling On Disabled Rights In Cruise Ships

Lala C. Ballatan,

It is interesting to note that many disabled persons, instead ofslinking away and being embarrassed by their conditions, areasserting their rights. They already educate themselves with thebasics of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, alaw which protects them against discrimination and rules thatestablishments and such give proper accommodations for them.

Adopted to remove the barriers that prevented the society frombenefiting from the participation and contributions ofindividuals with disabilities, the ADA took effect in July 26,1990. Its Title I prohibits private employers, state and localgovernments, employment agencies and labor unions fromdiscriminating against qualified individuals with disabilities –whether in job application, procedures, hiring, firing, advancement, compensation, job training and other terms, conditions and privileges of employment. It also has thequalifications of a person with disability. Four other titles ofADA includes other aspects where the issue of disability is verymuch considered: public services and public transportation, public accommodations, telecommunications and miscellaneous.

Many states have also adopted and enforce versions of thefederal ADA. Now, on the Supreme Court rulings posted by PeggyMcGuiness at Opinio Juris, referred to by Walter Olson on March2, 2005 at the site,http://www.overlawyered.com/archives/cat_disabled_rights.htmlseveral important and interesting issues about the ADA wereraised.

An argument ensued at the Supreme Court when the Department ofJustice (DOJ) sided with a group of disabled cruise passengerswho sued Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) for failing to provide thekinds of accommodations required on public transportation underthe Americans with Disabilities Act. The defendant, NCL arguesthat they should be exempt from ADA regulation in the same waythat they are exempt from federal labor laws because their shipsfly under the Bahamian flag. The DOJ and the plaintiffs arguethat the ADA can be applied to foreign flagged vessels operatingin US waters precisely because they come in and out of USjurisdiction and operate as a public accommodation.

Now, this is really quite an ruling since it essentially goesbeyond the international law, which maintain that ships aregenerally only subject to the jurisdiction of the state underwhose flag they sail. Infact, cruiselines choose to registerunder foreign flags precisely to avoid certain regulatoryrestrictions and costs (i.e., taxation, labor and employmentlaws).

The DOJ ruling favoring the disabled has become a broadapplication of the ADA to foreign-flagged vessels. This mighteven be conceivably applied not only to cruise ships, but alsoto every merchant marine vessel that ever enters US waters. Butcruiselines are not interested in complying with the nation’sstringent ADA since compliance in those circumstances would beextraordinarily expensive and a burden on trade.

I think there’s nothing wrong with the ruling, though. It’s justthat, public services, transportation and all other busnessestablishments must not just think about the expenses that gowith compliance on several laws. They must simply learn torespect the rights of disabled citizens.

Boating Holidays

Frank Hague,

Boating holidays are a wonderful way to spend the summer! Justpack your bags and float around on a houseboat or a yacht for afew weeks, enjoying the sunshine, fishing and swimming andvisiting towns along the shoreline. It's comparable in cost tostaying in a hotel, with so much less hassle. And it's great forthe whole family, especially the kids. Children always findentertainment on and around water. They swim and snorkle, whileadults relax in a fold-up chair with a cool drink and a book.

Boating holidays, as opposed to travel on large cruise ships, offer a more intimate and relaxed voyage without the bustle ofthousands of mega-ship passengers all around you. And the venuesare more intriguing than the tourist traps visited by the bigcruise ships. The smaller boats are surprisingly well-serviced,with features such as showers and sometimes bicycles for toursaround the countryside during stops.

Many online services throughout the world offer trips on localcanals and lakes surrounded by historic locations. What about acanal trip throughout Holland? This seafaring nation was builton marshland, and vestiges of the marsh still remain in the formof canals criss-crossing the whole country connecting quainttowns (with architecture carefully preserved, thanks to Dutchlaws against the remodeling of historic buildings) tocosmopolitan cities such as Amsterdam.

<>

England and Wales also have canals, are a multitude of tours areavailable, such as Llangollen, Four Counties and Cheshire Rings,Oxford and Avon canals, and the river Thames. Unknown to mosttourists, there is a network of waterways that traverse Englandfrom Yorkshire to Avon and into Wales. See different historictowns without battling holiday drivers on Europe's crowded roads(and believe me, if you are used to driving only on NorthAmerica's wide freeways, European traffic will give you ashock).

In Scotland, how about a boating holiday on 23-mile long LochNess? There's no guarantee Nessie will show up, but you arebound to be impressed by the rugged grandeur of the Great Glenand the battle-scarred castles surrounding it. It is one ofEurope's most spellbinding locations, and a pleasant surprise tothose under the impression that there is no wilderness left inEurope. Eagles, ospreys and other rare birds and even otterslive in this pristine environment. Needless to say, opportunities for fishing abound. Visit the Loch Ness Center atDrumnadrochit to learn the in-depth history of the area.

Don't forget to consider a romantic boating holiday on thewaterways of France. The canals of Brittany, Burgundy, Alsace,River Charente, River Lot and the South of France offer beauty, culture, and inimitable French food and wine enroute.

In North America, the Great Lakes region is so large it isimpossible to see it all on one 2-week boating holiday. The St.Lawrence River is one of the most important rivers on the NorthAmerican continent. It begins in the Great Lakes, leading to asvast estuary before ending in the Atlantic Ocean. It isapproximately 500 miles long, and forms the border betweenCanada and the USA for approximately 100 miles. Sail up the St.Lawrence canal on a tour into French Canada for spectacularnorthern scenery and wildlife such as Beluga whales.

While on the topic of North American boating holidaydestinations, let's not forget Lake Tahoe. This is a pereniallypopular tourist destination, and every American who has thechance should visit this unique lake at least once. There areEmerald Bay sightseeing cruises on the Tahoe Queen, and rides onthe M.S. Dixie II paddlewheeler. There is also a 44-foottrimaran and 55-foot catamaran. Small family boats are availablefor private family rental. Lake Tahoe offers many upscaleresorts and restaurants as well as historic tours.

A Cruise Through Royal Caribbean's History

Lucky Balaraman,

Copyright http://royal-caribbean-world.info

* Introduction *

Ever heard of a luxury hotel that moves every half hour?

You guessed it: it's a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, a mass ofone hundred thousand tons, that glides on the ocean betweenFlorida and the islands of the Caribbean on a regular basis.

Royal Caribbean International is the second largest cruise shipoperator in the world with revenues in excess of $4 billion. Itowns 28 ships with more than 65,000 berths on them and isgrowing. Here's their story.

Flash back to 1969. An idea suddenly struck Arne Wilhelmsen andEdwin Stephan (Arne was a Harvard-educated investor and Edwin afamous Floridian businessman). The idea was that there was alarge community of extremely wealthy Americans in Florida, andthat this community would put down top dollar for a short, relaxing luxury cruise to the nearby Caribbean.

Arne and Edwin marketed this brainwave to some of the shippingmagnates in Norway who readily bought it and came up with largeinvestments. After a short gestation period, Royal CaribbeanCruise Lines (and an entire new industry) was born.

By the next year (1970), the infant company could speak of it'sfirst possession: The SONG OF NORWAY, a splendid cruise ship, weighing 18,500 tons and equipped for 700 passengers,custom-built in Finland. The most stunning feature of it was acocktail lounge cantilevered around the smokestack (EdwinStephen got the idea from the Seattle Space Needle). This loungewas built into many of the Line's later ships and became thehallmark of the Company's fleet.

* Growth, Growth and More Growth *

The founders of the Company pursued their vision of achievingmarket dominance through a continual program of adding ships andservices. A consolidated record of this, which is very difficultto find elsewhere in the media, is presented below:

1971 Cruise ships NORDIC PRINCE and SUN VIKING arrive

1978 SONG OF NORWAY cut in half, 75-foot piece with 164 cabinsintroduced in between

1980 NORDIC PRINCE augmented the same way

1982 SONG OF AMERICA arrives with a larger, more luxuriouslounge around the smokestack

1988 SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, the largest cruise ship ever builtat 73,162 tons for 2,276 passengers, arrives at a cost of $150million

1990 - NORDIC EMPRESS arrives - The Company expands beyond theCaribbean: Mexico, Alaska, and Europe are added as destinations;- Industry's first computerized booking system introduced

1991 - MONARCH OF THE SEAS arrives, ready for 2,354 passengers

1992 - MAJESTY OF THE SEAS delivered, equipped for 2,354passengers

1993 - The Company goes public

1995 - LEGEND OF THE SEAS arrives, built for 1,804 passengers

1996 - GRANDEUR OF THE SEAS arrives at 74,000 tons and for 2,440passengers - SPLENDOUR OF THE SEAS, in the same class asGRANDEUR, delivered

1997 - Name changed to Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited (RCCL) -RCCL buys Celebrity Cruises and its four working ships fromChandris Lines at a cost of $1.3 billion - RHAPSODY OF THE SEAS,at 79,000 tons and for 2,435 passengers, is delivered -ENCHANTMENT OF THE SEAS, at 74,000 tons and for 2,440passengers, arrives

1998 - Enter VISION OF THE SEAS, 79,000 tons and to carry 2,435passengers - Joint ownership agreement signed with Chicago'sPritzker family (that has $15 billion in assets) and Haifa'sOfer family (that owns one of the world's largest shippingcompanies, Ofer Brothers Shipping Co)

1999 - VOYAGER OF THE SEAS comes in at a whopping 140,000 tonsfor 3,114 guests

2000 - EXPLORER OF THE SEAS arrives; in the VOYAGER class, ithas marine laboratories on board as well

2001 - ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS arrives: 3,114 passengersaccommodated per cruise - RADIANCE OF THE SEAS delivered: 2,100passenger capacity at 90,000 tons, with gas turbines, it is thefirst in it's class - The company buys 20% of UK tour operatorFirst Choice and launches a joint venture cruise line. It offersland-based tours in Alaska through Royal Celebrity Tours.

2002 - BRILLIANCE OF THE SEAS, a vessel in the RADIANCE class, arrives and is ready for duty

2003 - SERENADE OF THE SEAS, the third RADIANCE class vessel, isdelivered

2004 JEWEL OF THE SEAS, RADIANCE class, makes its debut

... and of course, more ships, even larger that the earlierones, are on order!

* Conclusion *

With revenues in excess of $4 billion, RCCL is a juggernautwhich will not slow down.

Its ships are floating cities, boast amenities such as rockclimbing walls, miniature golf courses, swimming pools, iceskating rinks, sun decks, basketball courts, beauty salons, exercise and spa facilities, gaming facilities, lounges, bars, cabaret performances, cinemas, shopping arcades, multiplerestaurants and casinos.

Most importantly, when on a cruise, one experiences somepriceless bonuses: unpolluted air and a virtually noise-freeenvironment. These are truly, in the modern context, balm forthe soul.

If you can afford the entirely reasonable average fare of $400per person for a 3-night cruise in a luxury stateroom... don'tthink twice about it, sign up for a cruise and gain theexperience of a lifetime!

What's Involved With Honeymoon Cruise Packages?

Randy Wilson,

With so many honeymoon cruise packages to choose from, it can bedifficult to decide which one will provide the most romantic andrelaxing environment for you and your loved one. The followingtips should be helpful to anyone planning for honeymoon cruisevacations.

Be sure to specifically inform your travel agent that this willbe a honeymoon cruise; the cruise line will usually preparespecial gifts for newlywed couples.

Decide with your new spouse the general area you would like tovisit. When people think of honeymoon cruise vacations, theCarribean Sea is usually the first image that comes to mind. Most cruises do tend to cater to the sunbather, but there areincredible honeymoon cruises to hundreds of areas around allcontinents of the world. Consider them all before you leapforward with your plans!

Think about the size of the vessel before you book. The largerships can host 3,000 passengers or more. It is literally like alittle city on the sea! For a more private and personal setting, there are some which carry only a few dozen people at a time. These smaller yachts, however, are more unstable during stormsand heavy winds. This turbulence can make some people nervous oreven slightly ill. It's just something to keep in mind.

In addition to the vast list of amenities included in honeymooncruises, there are items and activities which are billedseparately. Some or all of your liquor and dining costs, pluscasino games and souvenirs from the gift shop, are not likely tobe included with the actual honeymoon cruise package. Keep thesetypes of expenses in mind when you budget your vacation.

Carrying cash is risky, so it is common for the company toinclude a shipboard account which can be used to pay for anyexpenses you might incur during your voyage. This is much saferthan carrying bundles of cash, but do resist the temptation togo "overboard" with your tab!

Be attentive to the clothing you bring along with you on thecruise. Most of the day will be very casual, with bathing suitsand casual summerwear being the norm; however, many honeymooncruise packages also include at least one night of formalentertainment where a dress code is in effect. The ship may alsoshore up in regions of the world where fairly conservativeattire is expected from visitors. Bring a nice variety ofclothing and you should be just fine.

The most important piece of advice is to thoroughly plan foreverything in advance. If you're fully prepared, your honeymooncruise will be one of the most relaxing and enjoyable times ofyour life.

Cruisers Rave About Princess Cruise Line's Outdoor Movies

Roy Witman, Mon Dec 26th

© 2005

Cruise lines are constantly geared toward providing a steadyflow of shipboard entertainment for cruisers to enjoy. They wantyour time at sea to be just as exciting as the ports of callyou'll visit during your itinerary. While the standards (such asonboard casinos, Broadway-style shows and nightclubs) continueto have appeal, cruise lines are getting more and moreinnovative with their ideas. It was this type ofwhat-would-the-passenger-want thinking that drove PrincessCruise Line to add "Movies Under the Stars."

Unlike anything found aboard other cruise vessels, "Movies Underthe Stars" is an impressive outdoor movie theater that Princessofficials describe as a "Times Square-style, LED (light emittingdiode) screen." This is no ordinary TV, however.

With a monstrous 300-square-foot screen, featuring a 69,000-wattsound system, the "Movies Under the Stars" system is wellequipped with enough lighting power to be seen clearly day ornight.

Princess Cruise Line didn't stop there. Strategically placed, this million-dollar entertainment system is located above thepool area for optimal viewing comparable to traditional movietheaters. Have you ever watched your favorite movie whilefloating in a pool or sunbathing? Now you can!

To make the experience fit the Princess Cruise Line style, shipofficials decided to go overboard (so to speak). Passengers canmake complimentary chaise lounge reservations for availablefeatures. At evening viewings, comfortable cushions and blanketsare placed on the lounge chairs. Additionally, cocktail specialsare available as well as free popcorn and other movie munchies.Would you rather do dinner theater? Poolside casual dining isalso available.

With up to seven features playing throughout the day andevening, every member of your party will find something s/heenjoys. What's in the lineup? Many family films including SpiderMan 2 and Shrek 2. Concerts, sporting events - including NFLMonday Night Football - awards shows and other broadcastentertainment as well. One of the most popular events is Oscar®Under the Stars with the broadcast of the Academy Awards and aparty.

"Movies Under the Stars" has been such a hit that PrincessCruise Line has retrofitted all its Grand Class ships with thegiant screens.

"Movies Under the Stars" follows in the tradition of such otherPrincess Cruise Line innovations as Personal Choice Dining ®,the Cruise Personalizer® and the More Balconies® concept to makeyour shipboard experience all it can be.

Vacationing Aboard Mega Yacht Charters

Charles Mohaney, Mon Dec 26th

More than your average sailboat, mega yacht charters offer allthe luxury of a five star hotel, more room than most cityapartments around the world, and the freedom to go where youwant without having to pack and unpack at every stop. Inaddition, mega yacht charters come fully staffed if you sodesire making this one vacation you won't need another vacationto recover from! The Secrets to Affordable Yachting Mega yachtexcursion can run the gamut of prices. Some fully-loaded andstaffed luxury yachts can cost in the hundreds of thousands ofdollars for a single week. So how can the average person affordsuch luxury? The key is to make it a family affair, choose theright destinations, and time things to get the best rates. Ifyou are willing to do some of the cooking, cleaning, and evensailing responsibilities yourself, you will find it even easierto afford a vacation at sea.

Most luxury motorboat vessels can accommodate dozens of people. If you have a large extended family or close friends that youenjoy travelling with then it's easy to share the expense andmake an affordable week-long trip. With six sleeping cabins, forexample, you can accommodate up to six separate families. If theweek's voyage runs about $30,000 (an easy to find fare) theneach family is only spending $5,000 for a week of luxury andexciting site seeing. You can hardly get into the Disney themeparks with a family of four for that!

Another way to cut costs is to choose a destination that is morecontained. A trip through the Bahamas or Caribbean Islands willbe more affordable than an excursion that spans the seas fromone continent to another. Three or four days on this kind ofcruise is easy to travel and visit many different portsrepresenting several countries.

If you don't hire a cook or cleaning crew, you can save on therent as well. A trip from Miami to the Bahamas is short enoughthat you will not have to worry about major cleaning and cansave money on housekeeping services. The Advantages of PrivateCruising Mega yacht charters are unlike regular cruise ships. Oncommercial cruises there is a social element many people enjoy, but the private cruising really puts you in the captain's chair.A professional captain does the navigating of course, but youare in charge of the destinations. You choose when you willdepart and how long you will stay.

In addition to choosing the itinerary you also get to decide whowill be seated next to you at dinner since a chartered cruisehas only your invited guests. You can even choose the menu andselect the wine, and when the day is done, you retire to a suiteas luxurious as those found in the finest hotels.

Private quarters on a mega yacht charter means you won't have toworry about lugging a suitcase from one vacation spot to thenext. Your room goes with you everywhere! Most yachts of thiscalliper also have full sized baths, exercise facilities andseveral parlours for evening entertaining that never has to end.

Gavin Wright

In a rushed existence, when we don’t have time to even sit down and relax, cruise vacations offer a fantastic escape. These vacations are not just fun and relaxing but also rejuvenating. Unique in their offerings, services, and amenities, cruise vacations are a great way to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city life and just soak in the sun as well as admire and reenergise your sense with beautiful sceneries and majestic oceans.

Cruise vacations are available in many different packages, and there is a wide variety that you can choose from. It’s depend to base your choice for the cruise vacations on the activities that you are interested in, the destinations you want to explore, the time you want to spend cruising, and most important of all the amount you are willing to spend on the vacation.

Everyone has a different and personal reason or reasons to set sail on a fun-filled cruise vacation. Many people find cruise vacations exciting and enjoyable as they don’t have to drive or fly anywhere, some other enjoy cruises because they like to meet different people and explore different destinations, while some other just like to sail because they want to experience the luxury and life of a cruise ship. The destinations on offer by cruise companies include just about any place where there is a port. Some of the most popular and hence common cruise vacation destinations include Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean, Hawaii, Europe and others. A round trip voyage from Florida to the Bahamas is one such option. You get to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and the blue waters of the Atlantic. Once in Bahamas, you can even explore the Bahamas, before returning back to your cruise ship to return back to the departure point. Then there is Alaska. A spectacular region, Alaska has a wide range of activities and sites to be seen and explored. An Alaskan cruise is bound to take your breath away!

You can customize your cruise vacation depending on your preference. Most cruise lines are constantly upgrading, and offering new destinations, new types of cruises and cruise ship amenities. Irrespective of whether you opt for an inexpensive weekend voyage or a luxury cruise voyage, you will be pampered and taken care of. It’s important to select the right cruise liner, so before you make your final decision read as much as you can about the cruise ship, its facilities, staff, ports of call, and talk to anyone who may have travelled on that ship before. After all the price of the cruise vacations are dependent on the cruise line and the destinations that make up your itinerary.

The best cruises in Europe this summer

Regular cruisers already understand the savings involved and may want to move on to the bottom of the article where the top deals to Europe are listed.
If you are new to cruising, it is important to remember that the price includes all of your meals, your cabin, activities on the ship and in many instances, onboard credit. Currently there are incredible prices to the Mediterranean all the way up to the Baltics. These cruises are appropriate for everyone - families, friends and couples. Of course the larger cruise lines will have the largest variety of folks, the smaller and sometimes, more expensive cruises tend to be geared more to adults.

Cruise itineraries through Europe, Destination information and Current Deals:
Beginning from the North moving South:

If you want to see spectacular scenery, majestic Fjords and old European towns, the Scandinavian Cruises are the way to go. There are varying itineraries, but for the most part if you are departing from Norway, you will cruise through the Fjords cross the Arctic Circle to Kirkenes, an outpost near the Russian border. This is a cruise focused on scenery, wildlife and Viking towns. Finland is a popular spot and quite a unique surprise for Americans.

Finland has been called "Finwacky" because of the Finnish sense of humor and pastimes. Even if you are visiting the city for just one summer day during a cruise ship port of call, you can check your inhibitions at the dock and get a little Finnwacky, whether you fancy spinning around upside down on a ride at Linnanmaki Amusement Park, lunching at an antique prison turned modern-day hotel or careening through the city to your own rendition of "My Way" in a Karaoke Taxi. There are some amazing deals for this extremely unique cruise, click here to view deals to the Scandinavia and the Baltics.

The next set of "northern-Western Europe cruises depart from England, highlighting the British Isles and the Cook Islands, Ireland more majestic cliffs and scenery. The British Isles region consists of England, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
All of the Northern European countries are expensive for Americans these days; the best way to figure out how to get the best deal is to figure out what you are paying per night for room and board, see how much you will be saving by eating on the ship and still being able to sightsee both on the ship and on land. Yes, you will have to put some money away for shopping and touring, but at least you are not paying the expense of a hotel and food.

Some Great Deals to these destinations:
$145+/nt: British Isles/Norwegian Fjords
$84+/nt: 12-Day N. Europe Cruise from London

The next set of itineraries are for Western Europe.

Western Europe ports of call include various urban spots in France, Amsterdam and Brussels. Brussels is a popular destination when ships dock at Zeebrugge, on Belgium's coast, but Brugge itself is fascinating and fabulous -- and only a half an hour away. Amsterdam is a destination in its own right.

Moving south, we enter the world of the Western Mediterranean. The Western Mediterranean offers arts and culture, surf and sand, cafe hopping and boutique shopping, a variety of sights, attractions and activities.

Itineraries that sail the Western Mediterranean typically emphasize ports of call in Spain, France and Italy (with a few interesting detours along the way). These could also include stops in Portugal (primarily Lisbon though Oporto is occasionally featured), Morocco (Casablanca and Tangier), Monte Carlo, Malta and Croatia (Dubrovnik, most commonly). The actual ports of call vary and could include everything from France's very chic Villefranche to Italy's open-air museum of Florence.

Some Current offers to these Destinations:
$1779+: Air + 7nt Mediterranean Cruise
Up to 75% off Europe Cruises

Last, but certainly not least is my personal favorite, the Eastern Med Cruises. Here we find the ports of Athens (Piraeus), Greece (some focus on the enchanted Greek Islands); Istanbul, Turkey; and Venice, Italy. Look closely at itineraries, figure out what you are spending per night, what are the added values and how much can the cruise line save you on airfare
